REPRODUCING THE TWO-PROBE ADDENDUM
Version 1.0, 9 November 2026

Files use relative paths and need no network, credentials, data downloads or paid services.

1. Mathematical checks (Python 3.9+ standard library)
   python check_frontier.py
   python proof_check.py
Both should exit 0. check_frontier.py writes checks.json and reports 160 exact cases,38 policies and 64 outcomes per policy. proof_check.py writes proof_check.json and independently compares exhaustive history plans with a joint-probability Bellman recursion in 160 cases. It also checks endpoint ties and worked examples. These rational computations corroborate the analytic full-domain proof in manuscript.txt; they are not a grid-based proof.

2. Read the manuscript
manuscript.pdf is the rendered reading edition.
manuscript.html works offline without scripts or external assets.
manuscript.txt is the canonical editable content; EQ marks displayed equations.

3. Rebuild PDF and HTML (optional)
Requires Python 3.9+ and reportlab. Run in an environment where reportlab is already installed:
   python build_manuscript.py
The builder reads manuscript.txt beside itself. No network or installation is performed. The checked production environment used Python 3.10.11 and the reportlab version recorded in the publication manifest. PDF metadata timestamps may differ across rebuilds; compare content and checks rather than expecting byte-identical regenerated PDF hashes.

4. Render for visual inspection (optional, Poppler installed)
   pdftoppm -scale-to 1100 -png manuscript.pdf page
Inspect every generated page. The included PDF was visually inspected after the final source edits. Rebuilds should be inspected again if fonts or libraries differ.

5. Provenance and limitations
proof_ledger.txt maps exact claims to assumptions and proof locations.
source_ledger.json and bibliography.txt record original sources and reading limits.
review_summary.txt and reviewer_responses.txt record internal AI review and dispositions.
integration_note.txt identifies overlap with existing B-Theory manuscripts.
publication_manifest.json records title, abstract, date/version, intended destination, limits and SHA256 hashes. It excludes itself from recursive hashing.
There is no assertion of human peer review, historical priority, physical validation, architecture advantage or subjective awareness. The release is a technical addendum. The public archive contains only an explicit allowlist of reader-facing files; private scratch records and source snapshots are not included.
